Cap, Gown, and Announcement Ordering

· What is this?
o A representative from Herff Jones will be at Ryle during lunch to help seniors order their cap, gown, and tassel in person.
o If you are not here during lunch, the representatives will be at Ryle from 3pm-6pm on 10/12 in the upper commons.
o Still can’t make it? Ordering can be done online.

· What is this?
o Senior parents/guardians are welcome to come to Ryle with questions they have about graduation products (caps, gowns, tassels, ect.). A representative from Herff Jones will be at Ryle to help answer questions and place orders in person.

The information on this page is for both the senior students and their parents. Please read through all of the information carefully. Check back often for updates.
At minimum, you must purchase the cap, gown, and tassel. Please note you are renting the gown and it will be returned after graduation before receiving your diploma. That package can be found here (scroll to the bottom).

When will I get what I ordered?
· There will be a pick up day for seniors to pick up what they ordered. Graduate Services will be in the upper commons to distribute the items.

Ryle Picture Day
Picture Day is Coming - Thursday, 8/31/23 (Retakes will be Friday, 10/20)
Pre-order today on mylifetouch.com with your Student ID or Picture Day ID: EVTSQ8BJG or use the paper order form sent home with your student and pay with cash, check, or money order.
These pictures will be used for student IDs and Infinite Campus.
Schedule your senior portrait session for Ryle’s yearbook now! Senior pictures for Ryle’s yearbook are taken at Prestige’s portrait studio in Crestview Hills. (No purchase necessary.) Deadline: 1/11/24.

SENIOR DINNER DANCE
2024 RYLE SENIOR DINNER DANCE
Any SENIOR wishing to attend Senior Dinner Dance MUST fill out and submit the proper ticket request form before purchasing your ticket!
Form and link to Purchase Tickets will open on December 5th and close on December 15th.
Please Complete the steps in the order below:
*Please note the following:
- Ticket Price: $60 plus processing fee.
- The ticket sale window time is December 5th to December 15th. Purchasing tickets after the deadline is not an option.
- You must fill a form out for yourself AND your guest (if applicable). You will have to purchase your tickets separately.
- There is a LIMITED number of tickets! Purchase early!
1. Fill out the ticket request form for yourself. You will receive the link to purchase tickets AFTER you click the submit button on the form. There must be a form filled out for each person attending.

SENIOR EXIT PROJECT
Successful completion of the Senior Exit Project is required for all senior students:

Create a folder in your Google Drive. All content will be visible to staff and community members in your senior exit interview. What should go in this folder? (Directions for creating folder)

- Resume
- YouScience Reflection Workbook
- Civics Test Certificate Screenshot (Email your civics certificate to Tracy.Hanser@boone.kyschools.us)
- Any presentation materials you will use in your interview (Google Slides, Site, etc.)
- If you are using Google Site to create a website for your Senior Exit - Create a new Google Doc and paste a link to that Website in the Doc. Save this document in your folder. Share the Google Folder that includes everything, including the Doc with your Google Site link. You will also use this link for the Sign Up Genius.

HONORARY DIPLOMAS
Seniors have the privilege of showing their gratitude to a former educator, bus driver, cafeteria worker, or anyone else employed by the school system they have had by presenting them with a honorary diploma. It's going to be a great day for seniors to show their gratitude!

BRING YOUR CAP AND GOWN AND REGALIA (CORDS AND PINS if you have them) TO SCHOOL TO WEAR FOR DELIVERY OF HONORARY DIPLOMAS! Community Service Hours:
Every Graduate of Ryle High School MUST complete 5 community service hours each school year for a total of 20 hours. Hours are prorated for new enrollments.

Civics Test:
All students throughout Kentucky must complete the Civics Test prior to graduation.
Once you obtain your certificate, send a screenshot to Mrs. Hanser in the Media Center.

Seal of Biliteracy:
The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by a school, district, or state in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. Boone County Schools was the second district in Kentucky to offer this award.
