Raider Rally-Welcome 9th Graders!

The Raider Rally is for our 9th grade students and is part of Link Crew, a nationwide program designed to welcome and support 9th graders by connecting them with Link Leaders, who are positive, responsible, hand-selected 11th and 12th graders. Your student's Link Leaders will help them feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of high school. Doesn't that sound great? It is! Your 9th grader is encouraged NOT to bring backpacks, purses, or other like items as the day is quite active. Please make sure your student wears comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. Cell phone use is forbidden on this day. This is a student only function so we encourage you to let your child attend on their own.

Parent Information Night for Incoming 9th Graders
Students can meet with representatives from various organizations, clubs, and academics. We are excited to meet our newest Raiders!

Parent Orientation
Last Names:
A-K - 6:00-7:00 (scheduling presentation, clubs & extracurriculars following)
L-Z - 6:30 arrive for schedule request pickup and club info; 7:00-8:00 presentation
Incoming 9th graders will receive a print out of their schedule requests. Any discrepancies should be noted on the scheduling paper and turned in to Ryle staff prior to leaving for the evening. If a student disagrees with a class placement (regular vs. honors vs. AP) they must complete a challenge form and return it that evening. If you are not able to attend the parent night, Ryle staff will work with the middle schools to review schedules. Parents may email Elizabeth Tackett, (Ryle Counselor) elizabeth.tackett@boone.kyschools.us to discuss errors in schedules. We anticipate this will be a very informative event that will answer many questions parents and students may have. Please reserve questions for this evening as opposed to reaching out ahead of time.
